This is a basic, value oriented sleeping bag. I took this camping with me this weekend and this was my son's sleeping bag. The overnight low was 38F and we slept in a tent. He slept like a log – so much so that he had a little accident (:-(, more on that in a moment). More importantly, it was his first time out there and so it made me happy that he enjoyed himself in this bag, which was more than adequate for him. It has a nice ripstop outer fabric that seems durable enough – helpful if you leave this to a kid or are careless with it. I put this right through the washing machine when we got back, and can confirm there are no issues there. It didn't fall apart, fray, etc. Washed it according to the instructions and dried it on very low temp; didn't even need a tennis ball in there to keep the insulation even. I think somebody else wrote that there's potentially some space at the bottom where there's a zipper? That's just the nature of these things, and this isn't an expedition-rated bag. My son wore his thermal underwear and socks (just like his dad), and we were both just fine. The orange bag in the image is the sleeping bag being reviewed. This is a good value bag for adults and kids if you aren't looking to blow the bank on a top of the line bag. It should cut it down to the stated temperature if needed.
I may love bushcraft but I still like pink, this was surprisingly very warm for the northwest spring (36°at night) It kept me warm in the back of my truck, lil constricing but most sleeping bags are, I'll prob use it as a blanket unless I set up the hammock. Would highly recommend a try, zipper was sturdy also.
